Harvesting of gum tragacanth

Tragacanth is a gum obtained naturally from the collar, stalk, and root of some species. Tragacanth is one of the most important byproducts of rangelands in the country and has many industrial and pharmaceutical uses. The results of ANOVA showed no significant difference between one and two razor blades. The highest amount of tragacanth was obtained in the second time by vertical razor blade method and the lowest in late August by diagonal blade blade method. Environmental conditions also had a significant effect on the yield and decreased with increasing humidity and soil moisture and increasing the temperature of the caterpillar.
